    HMAS Gascoyne

    Clive Henry Lawrence was one of the original members of HMAS Gascoyne which was commissioned 18 November 1943. I remember going with my father to see the ship at Garden Island before it was decommissioned in 1966. We walked across the deck of another ship and looked down on the Gascoyne. See my father was over 6 feet tall he must have been bent over all the time he was below deck.
