Timothy Sweeney was born on the 20th of March 1887, in Keelnebrack, in the county of Kerry, Ireland. He had one sister, Mary Sweeney who resided in Ireland. This was his next of kin. Prior to enlisting in service, Timothy was a shearer. On the 19th of March 1915, Timothy Enlisted for service in Hughenden, Queensland. The last unit that Timothy Sweeney was involved in was the 26th infantry battalion, He was in the ‘A’ Company as his squadron and his rank was that he was a private. While he was over in Gallipoli he had no illness. Timothy ended up dying of wounds in the war on 6th July 1916 aged 29 years old.
