Private Chilman was honour at Wallaroo on January 3 1919 on his return, with Sergeant A Glover, T Allen, J Owens, RJ McLean.  The Mayor the ex-Mayor and Mr J Dargan from the Returned Soldiers' Association, all welcomed the guest.  After the speeches in the Institute the soldiers and their relarives and friends were entertained by Cheer-up ladies at the Parish hall.
