The 625 Squadron Memorial at the site of the former RAF Kelstern. The stone memorial stands 3ft 6ins high and is made from cornish granite and comemorates the members of 625 squadron. The memorial is set in a paved and gravel area, surrounded by blue railings and backed by a setting of conifer trees.

Service number 18488 George Bentley Pegler, a staff member of the South Australian Harbors Board. George enlisted in the AIF on 26 October 1917 and served in France with the Australian Army Medical Corps. He returned to Australia in 1919. From 1923 to his death in 1950 he held the position of Harbourmaster at Cowell.

Jackson DFC OF Lismore, NSW; 411227 FO R. L. Neal of Grenfell, NSW. This crew posed for a painting by war artist Stella Bowen. The crew was posted missing on 28 April 1944, and were later confirmed as lost in action. This and other photographs were used to complete the painting.

John Jackson and his brother Les photographed at the Alexandria Zoo while serving in the Middle East prior to returning to Australia to join No. 75 Squadron. Both men would command the unit with Les succeeding his older brother after he was killed in action.

Portrait of 437282 Flight Sergeant (later Pilot Officer) Norman George Steer of Prospect, SA, Pilot (left), and 434107 Flying Officer Basil Trevor Roberts of Townsville, Qld, Navigator. They formed a ship-busting crew flying Beaufighter aircraft with RAAF 455 Squadron operating out of RAF Langham station, UK. On 15 October 1944, their aircraft ditched into the sea after attacking enemy trawlers off Norway. Only the body of FO Roberts was recovered, and he is buried in the Risor Civil Cemetery on the south coast of Norway
