No. 2366 Corporal Robert Henry Stringer, farmer, born 8 June 1888, Wokurna, South Australia. Enlisted 29 December 1915 3rd Light Horse Regiment. Brother of No. 3907 Private Arthur Clarence Stringer, AIF Cyclist and No. 180 Private Alfred George Stringer, 43rd Infantry Battalion. All three returned from WWI. Robert married Annie Edith Jamieson and died 1971 at Port Broughton.

Robert Henry Stringer served from 1914 to 1918 his rank was a trooper, he served in the 3rd Light Horse Regiment. When he embarked for war he was 18 years old.
Stringer grew up in Sherlock, at the Coorong South Australia. His Mother was Mrs Emma Stringer. His religion was Methodist. He was born in Mundoora, South Australia.
Stringer was enlisted on the 29 of December 1915. He embarked to war from Adelaide, 29th April 1916 and served in the Middle East.
Stringer died on the 21st of September 1971.
