Son of John Thomas O'Leary and Theresa Mary F. O'Leary nee McGrath of Melbourne, Victoria.

Husband of May Madeline O'Leary nee Hickling of Palmer Street, Sydney, NSW. Henry and May married during 1910c in Waterloo, NSW. May later died in April 1919 and his son Frederick William O'Leary was last heard of in Dunedin, New Zealand
