"...During the First World War Lieutenant Arnold Isaacson served in the Middle East, on the Western Front and in England with No. 1 Company, 1st Divisional Train, Australian Army Service Corps (AASC). He also served with the Volunteer Defence Force during the Second World War. Isaacson was the father of the official Army Directorate of Public Relations photographer Barbara Joan Isaacson, and also of Flight Lieutenant Peter Isaacson (/explore/people/800263), a Pathfinder pilot with RAF Bomber Command who was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC), the Air Force Cross (AFC) and the Distinguished Flying Medal (DFM)." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
