15 Mar 1901: Embarked Australian and Colonial Military Forces - Boer War Contingents, 1454, 3rd New South Wales Mounted Rifles, D Sqn 3NSWMR departed Sydney for South Africa on the "Maplemore" reaching Port Elizabeth on 12 April 1901.
2 May 1901: Involvement Australian and Colonial Military Forces - Boer War Contingents, Trooper, 1454, 3rd New South Wales Mounted Rifles, Campaigned in Eastern Transvaal and Eastern Orange River Colony until 28 April 1902.
4 May 1902: Embarked Australian and Colonial Military Forces - Boer War Contingents, Trooper, 1454, 3rd New South Wales Mounted Rifles, R.T.A. from Cape Town bound for Sydney, arriving on 3rd June 1902. Paid off and discharged shortly afterwards with a QSA medal.
