Amongst those who have been killed Is Private John Leo Hill, of Dunolly, who was a brother of Mrs. Bert Downs, of Dunolly, for whom there is general sympathy. He belonged to the 8th Battalion, and was only 22 years of age, and was an old scholar of the Talbot State School. Prior to enlisting he was employed by, the State Rivers and Water Supply at Birchip, where he was well known.
