Biography

Son of George and Annie Marie FAULKNER

Born on the 17th August, 1889 in England, Ralph Francis Faulkner enlisted in the Australian Army on the 13th of May, 1918, at the age of nineteen. He had blue eyes and light brown hair. He was 100lbs, and was 5 feet 4 inches tall. His chest measurement was 31.34 inches. Before he joined he was the son of Annie Marie and George Faulkner, and was a fitter and tailor, an occupation that involved the manufacturing or assembling of parts for machinery. He was single at the time, and it is unknown whether or not he married afterwards. They moved to Australia when Francis was a boy, and from there George Faulkner joined and served in the Australian Army Service Corps. Faulkner sought to join his father in the fighting as soon as he was old enough to, and was finally given the chance when he enlisted in 1918. His father returned to Australia in 1919, around the same time as Ralph.
