Brother of Vernol Lionel Viney who returned to Australia on 10 May 1919 having served with the 1st Machine Gun Battalion
Commenced return to Australia on 4 June 1919 aboard HT Bremer disembarking on 25 July 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Hobart
