Charles Henry William ALP was born in Weymouth, Devon, England in March, 1896

His parents were James Charles ALP and Ada Kate CARTER

He enlisted in Keswick, SA on 15th May, 1915 & embarked with the 12th Infantry Battalion, 8th Reinforcements from Adelaide on the HMAT Morea on 26th August, 1915

He was Killed in Action on 2nd April, 1917 - no known grave - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers Bretonneux Memorial
