Son of John Quirke and Mary Josephine Quirke nee Cashman of Sydney Road, Coburg, Victoria.
Brother of Thomas Francis Quirke who died on 15 January 1917 aged 18 years. His name is on the CWGC and his is buried in the same grave as John Victor Quirke. There is no other reference to Thomas that I could find in relation to his service.
Brother of John Victor Quirke who was returned to Australia on 10 May 1919 having served with the 12th Machine Gun Company and AIF Headquarters.
