Son of Frank Edward Aplin Osborne and Deanie Osborne nee Smith of Olive Street, Fullarton, SA.

Commenced return to Australia on 8 August 1919 aboard HT Katoomba disembarking on 20 September 1919

On 9 April 1921 Claude married Edith May Roberts in the Baptist Church, Unley Park, SA

The Mail on 21 January 1928 it was written-

After a short illness Mr. Claude Osborne, of Birdwood avenue, Unley, died at an early hour this morning.   Deceased was well known in connection with the St. John Ambulance Brigade, having occupied the position of secretary of the South Australian district for several years.   He was a particularly keen ambulance worker, having gone through four years of war service in that capacity.   He has left a widow and two children.   His remains will be interred at Mitcham Cemetery tomorrow afternoon
