Son of John Hunt and Catherine Grosvenor Hunt nee Barratt of Bordertown, SA. Brother of Percival Herbert Grosvenor Hunt, Alice Catherine Hunt, Albert John Hunt MM who returned to Australia on 19 May 1919 having served with the 27th Battalion, Roy Edward Hunt and  Lila Ellen Hunt
