Son of John Henry Bainem Bosley and Frances Ann Elizabeth (nee Gatley) Bosley; brother of Elsei May Bosley, Thomas George Ernest Bosley who returned to Australia on 22 August 1919 having served with the 50th Battalion, Sarah Ann Jean Bosley, Minnie Louisa Bosley and Thomas Henry Rex
On 2 January 1914 Oswald married Rose Ellen Sheridan in the Gawler Registry Office. Father of Lawrece Oswald Bosley and Clemeth John Henry Bosley who both served during WW2. Rose later remarried and was know as Rose Turner of Glenelg
