Frederick Reginald BIRNIE was born on 22nd December, 1897 in Launceston, Tasmania

His parents were George BIRNIE and Annie BUCKLEY

He enlisted on 27th July, 1915 and embarked with the 26th Infantry Battalion, 7th reinforcements on the HMAT Ajaja on 13th December, 1915 from Hobart
