Mr Wilson’s name has been inscribed on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
Also inscribed on the Stockton Soldiers' Memorial (unveiled on the 25th April 1922) and the Stockton Goose Club Roll of Honour Board (unveiled on the 29th January 1921, whereabouts unknown).
Unfortunately, there is no memorial inscription on his parent’s headstone, the gravesite now in urgent need of restoration, and I am unable to erect a memorial cross, so I have placed poppies in remembrance of Richard’s supreme sacrifice during The Great War.
