Son of Joseph and Alexandria ELLIS, "Perth" Moore Street, Sutherland, New South Wales.
Served in Gallipoli and France. Wounded at Fleur near Bapaume November 13, 1916 and invalided to Birmingham and Portland Hospitals, England. Rejoined unit in early 1917 and remaine don duty until hostilities ceased. Returned to Australia May 31, 1919.
