19 Apr 1917: Honoured Military Medal, For exceptional bravery and coolness shown by him on the night of 2nd and 3rd May, 1915. The Battalion was taking part in a night attack on that date, when, coming under heavy fire and it being impossible to advance further, orders were given to dig in and hold on. The Platoon Commander and Sergeant being both wounded, Corporal TUSON took the platoon in hand and was instrumental in holding an important part of the line.'
