Dudley Marwood ELLIOTT was born in Brighton Beach, Victoria on 9th December, 1895
His parents were Edwin Charles ELLIOTT & Kate MARWOOD
He enlisted in Blackboy Hill, WA on 14th September, 1914 & embarked from Fremantle on the ship Medic with the 12th Infantry Battalion on 2nd November 1914 and returned to Australia on 4th December, 1915 due to enteric fever - he recovered and re-enlisted & re-embarked from Fremantle on the HMAT Clan McGillivray with the 11th Infantry Battalion, 20th reinforcements on 17th September 1916
Dudley died of wounds in France on 18th September, 1918 and is buried in the Tincourt New British Cemetery
