Died on this date - 3rd November.......Private Charles Daniel Myers was born at Brunswick, Victoria in 1892. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 22nd March, 1916 as a 24 year old, married Driver from Kensington, Victoria.
Private Myers joined 21st Battalion in France on 2nd December, 1916. He was wounded in action on 1st September, 1918 but remained on duty. Private Myers was transferred to 24th Battalion on 13th October, 1918 & proceeded to England on leave on 23rd October, 1918.
Private Charles D. Myers died at 10.45 pm on 3rd November, 1918 at Ruchill Fever Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland from Erysipelas (acute infection typically with a skin rash). He was buried in Western Necropolis Cemetery, Glasgow, Scotland where 10 other Australian WW1 Soldiers are buried.
