Timothy Oxley FARRELL was born in Gungolong in NSW in 1889

His parents were Timothy FARRELL & Mary Ann GIBB nee REED who married in Bourke in 1882 - Mary was previously married in 1872 to George Samson GIBB

Two of his brothers also served during WW1

1. Edward Albert FARRELL (SN 1919) - Lance Corporal with 55th Infantry Battalion - returned to Australia in 1919

2. George  Charles FARRELL (SN 1921) - Private with 55th Infantry Battalion - Killed in Action on 9th March, 1917
