He is one of four Australian soldier casualties of the Great War honoured on the Fauldhouse war memorial. Fauldhouse (Scots: Fauldhoose, Scottish Gaelic: Falas) is a village in West Lothian, Scotland. It is about halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The nearest towns to Fauldhouse are Whitburn and Livingston.

Other neighbouring villages include Longridge, Shotts and Stoneyburn.

He was born at Penicuik (/ˈpɛnɪˌkʊk/ PEN-i-kuuk), a town and former burgh in Midlothian, Scotland, lying on the west bank of the River North Esk. It lies on the A701 midway between Edinburgh and Peebles, east of the Pentland Hills.
