"...2492 Private John Lawrence Lenihan (aka John Lawrence), 5th Reinforcements, 25th Battalion, of Salisbury, SA, aged 33 years. Pte Lenihan enlisted on 16 August 1915 and embarked from Brisbane on 5 October 1915 aboard HMAS Warilda. He was transferred to the 9th Battalion on 4 March 1916 and then to the 3rd Machine Gun Company on 15 November 1916. He was wounded in action in France and was killed in action on 4 October 1917 in Ypres, Belgium." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
