"OBITUARY. MR. W. J. HART

Mr. William James Hart, of Tozer Street, West Kempsey, passed away in the Macleay District Hospital last Wednesday. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Clarence Hart, he was born at Ballina 62 years ago. For the past 12 years he had been storeman for the Macleay Shire Council. He was the Secretary of the Kempsey branch of the Municipal and Shire Employees Union. On August 20, 1913, deceased married Miss Myrtle Sarah Harris by whom he is survived, together with two sons and four daughters. The sons are Alfred Elliott (Kempsey) and William Harris (R.A.A.F. Malta); and the daughters are Mesdames V. Booth (Heather, Sydney), B. Besgrove (June, Sydney), B. Senz (Claire, Raleigh), and N. Mitchell (Ivy, Kempsey). Brothers are: Messrs. Jack (Sydney) and Aubrey (Katoomba); whilst a sister is Mrs. Ron Sweetman (Effie, Bathurst). A brother (Stewart) and a sister (Marjorie) predeceased him. After a service, the cortege left the Presbyterian Church on Friday at 2 p.m. for the place of internment in the West Kempsey cemetery. Rev. Coulcher officiated at both the church and graveside. A guard of honour was formed by the Municipal and Shire Employees Union, R.S.L. and P.A.F.S. lodge. Wreaths included ones from the P.A.F.S. Lodge, Lodge Kempsey 255, Macleay Shire outdoor and indoor staffs, R.S.L., Group 3, West Kempsey Football Club and Head Office of the Municipal and Shire Employees Union.
