Commemorated in Fingal Cemetery, Tasmania. Verse on tge headstone reads:
'You sleep on the blood stained fields of France
My gallant son so brave
No loving hands may place a wreath, upon your unknown grave
Though I am far away, dear Will. And your grave I cannot see
I am always thinking of you. As you used to think of me.
