Son of George Seamons and Isabella Seamons nee Wilson of Tatura, Victoria.

Brother of Charles John Seamons who died of wounds on 7 August 1916 and is buried in the Pozieres British Cemetery; Plot 111, Row R, Brave 34, Mayse Seamons, Margaret Isabella Seamons, Alexander Robert Seamons who returned to Australia on 14 May 1919 having served with the 7th Battalion, Alfred Edward  Seamons, Sarah Seamons, Alfred Edward Seamons (later named next of kin) and William Alexander Seamons

Commenced returned to Australia on 31 January 1918 aboard HT Osterley disembarking on the 13 April 1918
