7 Aug 1915: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 74, 12th Infantry Battalion, The August Offensive - Lone Pine, Suvla Bay, Sari Bair, The Nek and Hill 60 - Gallipoli, BW to back sustained at Lone Pine. Evacuated to 1st CCS where he died of his wounds the next day 8 August 1915.

Thomas served at the Landing and suffered a leg wound being evacuated to Egypt on 4 May 1915. He was sent back to Anzac during June and was then mortally wounded on the 7 August 1915, dying of wounds the next day. He was buried at the southern point Anzac Cove.
