Private Edwin Allan Hattam (Service No:V103975) served in the ACMF with 8th Light Horse Regiment from 7 October 1940 to 11 May 1944.
Born in Melbourne, Victoria in 1919, Edwin was eldest of three children of Allan Eustace Hattam (b1891 in Melbourne, Victoria) and Alma Goodenough (b1898 in Jamieson, Victoria). Allan was a Draper (in partneship with his brother - Hattam Bros Pty Ltd) in 1916 when he and Alma married in Melbourne, where they settled and raised their family and Allan was a Draper/Mercer.
Edwin was working in Euroa as a Bank Clerk (Bank of Australia) in the early 1940s, and was a Draper/Clothier in Melbourne in 1960 when he married Thelma Kathleen Scanlan (nee Tempest; b1918 in Melbourne, Victoria) - Thelma was a Widow. Edwin and Thelma settled in Melbourne where Edwin was a Clothier/Mercer. Edwin died in 1987 and Thelma in 2012.
