"GLENORMISTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. MEMORIAL ORGAN DEDICATED.
At a special service held in the Glenormiston Presbyterian Church on Sunday, 8th December, a new organ was dedicated by the Rev W. D. Marshall. The organ was the gift of Mr. and Mrs. R. Patterson, in memory of their two sons, Ernest and Nelson, who gave their lives in the service of their King and Country. Of simple and chaste design, the organ is a particularly fine instrument and those present at the service were delighted with its rich, mellow tone. A silver plate affixed to the cover of the keyboard bears the following inscription.
"Presented by Mr and Mrs. Robert Patterson and dedicated to the glory of God and the service of His Church, in memory of their sons, Ernest Patterson, died of wounds 10th September, 1918, and Nelson Patterson, killed in action, 29th July, 1918. 'They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb.' Rev. xv. 3."
On behalf of the members and adherents of the Glenormiston Church, the Minister accepted the organ, and expressed the grateful acknowledgement of the Church to the donors for their beautiful gift. After the organ had been formally dedicated and opened, Mrs. Barby, the church organist, played the Doxology, and the service was proceeded with." - from the Tewrang Express 20 Dec 1918 (nla.gov.au)
