20 Jun 1915:	Honoured Distinguished Conduct Medal, ANZAC / Gallipoli, Citation reads "For conspicuous gallantry on 25 April 1915 and subsequently during landing operations in the neighbourhood of Gaba Tepe (Dardenelles). He advanced under heavy rifle and shrapnel fire and spent the day attending to wounded men. He repeatedly during the following days brought wounded men in over ground swept by the enemy's fire." (Australian Military Orders Number 670 of 1915.)
