Son of James Sinclair Williamson of Candelo, NSW. Next of kin later changed to his eldest brother Stanley Garnet Williamson who served with the 1st Light Horse Regiment and later the 7th Light Horse Regiment. Also brother of Ettie Williamson and Gertrude Walkerly nee Williamson
