Commemorated on the Gorrie family headstone in St Nicholas Buccleuch Parish Churchyard, Dalkeith, Scotland.

 He was 30 and the son of the late George Hutton Gorrie and Mary Jane Gorrie [nee Keith]

 

His brother served with British forces and also fell; he was Second Lieutenant Alexander Keith Gorrie, died 26/04/1916, aged 32-11th Bn. Highland Light Infantry. TANCREZ FARM CEMETERY-Belgium-Grave I. E. 5.
