Norman was raised in Warrell Creek NSW, where he was raised by his mum and step-dad Mr and Mrs Brien. On Feb 15 1930 he married Kathleen Green in the Saint Nicholas of Myra Church , Penrith NSW, They resided in Penrith, and had a lovely family of 11 children, but only raised 10 as the last baby born died at birth.
