On 17 January 1919 Reuben married Cicilia Roberts Hosie in Milton Parish Church of Scotland, Glasgow, Scotland, Donald McKinnon officiated

Commenced return to Australia on 28 March 1919 aboard HT Karoa disembarking on 30 April 1919
