Eldest son of George Duncan Reid and Maria Amelia Reid, of 1 9, Neptune St., St. Kilda, Victoria

Cpl. G.D. Reid, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G.D. Reid, Neerim South, late of Bairnsdale, was killed in action in France on the 25th July.  He enlisted in June 1915, and sailed on the 20th October.  He was employed for a time on the construction works of the Bairnsdale to Orbost railway line.
