SADLY MOURNED
Private W. J. T. Freckleton, eldest son of Mr and Mrs William J. Frecklton, of Lakebank, Koroit, had died in France of gun shot wounds, on 17th March. The deceased soldier, who sailed from Australia on 1st August, 1916, was only 20 years old, but proved himself a man in courage and spirit. He was a general favourite amongst his companions in the Koroit district, and the deepest sympathy will be felt for his bereaved parents.
