Son of Henry Rochester Hart and Irene Maude Hart, of Mackay, Queensland, Australia.
Further news regarding their son, Pilot-Officer Warren Rochester Lee Hart, of the RAAF. who previously was reported missing, was received by his parents (Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Hart) in a telegram from the Air Board yesterday. The message stated that Pilot-Officer Hart is now listed as having lost his life. It was mentioned that the change in classification is based on information received through the International Red Cross Committee issued by the German authorities before the capitulation of Germany. The report stated that Pilot- Officer Hart lost his life, and that Pilot-Officer Knight had been captured.
Pilot-Officer Hart was only 20 years of age. After attending the Central State school he was a student of All Souls College, Charters Towers. Prior to his enlistment he was pursuing a course of sugar technology at the Brisbane Technical College. He was at Farleigh mill during two crushings, and left that mill to enlist. Portion of his Air Force training was carried out in Queensland, finishing off in England.
