Son of Arthur Charles Quinton, of Sydney Road, Enfield, Middlesex, England.
Returned to Australia aboard HT Port Sydney on disembarking on 12 November 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney.
Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal
In May 1923 he was working with the Australian Taxation Office, Hobart, Tasmania.
On 7 May 1927 Sydney married Sybil Florence Pice Swan in the Holy Trinity Church, Hobart, Tasmania
