Address at the time of enlistment was 228 Harris Street, Pyrmont, NSW. Before settled in Australia he had previously visited on several occasions
Son of Henry and Isabella Faulds of 6 Regent Road, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, England

Before becoming a seaman he worked as a clerk which he did not like; he also studied Mathmatics at home
