25 Apr 1915: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 976, 7th Infantry Battalion, ANZAC / Gallipoli, GSW back. Evacuated to Malta. Rejoined unit 9 September 1915.
31 Mar 1916: Transferred AIF WW1, Private, 46th Infantry Battalion, Egypt. Pte Watkins spent the next 18 months in and out of hospitals with various ailments, and eventually RTA on 10 September 1917.
