Biography

Ralph Erskine CHURCHER was born on 2nd April, 1895 in Launceston, Tasmania

His parents were George CHURCHER and Edith Caroline Hope LEE

He enlisted in March 1915  in the 26th Battalion S/N 1066

Unit embarked from Brisbane, Queensland on HMAT Aeneas June 1915

He also servied with the 52nd Battalion

He was Killed in Action on 4th April, 1918

Buried in Ribemont Communal Cemetery Extension, France

His brother Lieutenant Edgar Hope CHURCHER S/N -3527 also served in 51st Battaliion - he returned to Australia in 1919
