Next of kin later given as his oldest brother John Joseph O'Connor of Murphy Street, Romsey, Victoria

Brother of Thomas Henry O'Connor who was killed in action on 13 February 1917 while serving with the 57th Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial

Commenced return to Australia on 15 January 1919 aboard HT City of Exeter disembarking on 2 March 1919
