Son of Edwin and Ellen JONES nee MAYLIN, of Kangarilla, South Australia

Gunner T. W. JONES, late of the 16th Battalion, who was killed in action on October 11, was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Jones, of Kangarilla. He attended the Kangarilla public school, enlisted in September, and left for the front in November, 1914. He first served with the infantry, and was at the landing on Gallipoli. He was promoted to driver, and then gunner, and made the supreme sacrifice after a service of three years and one month. He was 23 years of age.
