Son of Charles and Gertrude WHILEY, Wirrinum, Condobolin, NSW
We regret to state that word was officially received yesterday conveying news of the death of Private Alex Whiley, from wound received at the battle front. He was the son of Mr .and Mrs. Chas. Whiley,
of "Wirrinun," and a very manly young fellow.
The sad intelligence of the death of Private A. Whiley, in France, was received on Tuesday last by Archdeacon Neild, and conveyed to his parents, who reside at Melrose. He was a fine specimen of an Australian, and great sympathy is expressed for his parents.
