He was 25 and the son of Daniel George and Elizabeth Ann Marsh, of Stanbridge Crossing, Leighton Buzzard.

He was born in Aldbury-birth registered in Berkhampstead

He emigrated to Australia aged 19.

Resident of Wongan Hills, West Australia.

Farmer by trade.

He was Killed in Action Friday 21st September 1917 at Nonne Bosschen which was taken the previous day from the enemy.

He is commemorated on the Aldbury War Memorial which takes the form of a plaque on the left hand wall of the nave in St John the Baptist church.
