Address at the time of enlistment was given as Perkins Street, Newcastle, NSW. 

Son of William Hugo and Elizabeth Ivy Hugo nee Parsons of Newcastle, NSW. Brother of Charles Arthur Hugo who returned to Australia on 10 September 1919 having served with the 3rd Battalion

Next of kin given as Ellen (Ella) Redmond of C/- G. Parsons,  Brookstown, Wallsend, NSW. On returning to Australia Albert married Ellen in Wallsend, NSW during 1915c

Commenced return to Australia on 4 August 1915 aboard HT Port Lincoln disembarking on 2 September 1915.
