Son of John and Ann Crapper of Tandara, Victoria; brother of Charles Alfred Crapper who returned to Australia on 10 December 1918 having served with the 14th Battalion and Arthur Leslie Crapper who returned to Australia on 31 March 1919 having served with the 59th Battalion
2 March 1917 - to hospital with Bronchitis and Laryngitis
10 March 1918 - embarked HS Orontes for return to Australia
19 Aril 1918 - admitted to Cape Town hospital as dangerously ill and unable to continue to Australia
