Son of Edward and Jane Anne Daly of Forest Street, Castlemaine, Victoria. Brother of W.H. Daly of Palmyra, WA and George Daly who was killed in action on 3 September 1916 while serving with the 51st Battalion and has no known grave. Name appears on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial
